Prerequisite: Introduction
to Industrial Technology
A
comprehensive course designed to instruct students in the use of CAD design and
software. Working with basic commands and operations from 2D and 3D drawings and
editing tools, text, dimensions, hatching, plotting, and more.
Each
student will work at a computer terminal and learn the correct procedure and
operation of the computer system. The students will learn computer
literacy, hardware, software, and drafting commands used in the computer
drafting language. Students will
learn how to draw and design on the computer in the area of line construction,
text and dimension, orthographic projection, isometric projection, working
drawings, and design an architecture floor plan of a residential home.
Students
are required to complete projects using the decision-making process of identifying
concerns, planning strategies, setting goals and following through. A team
approach is encouraged in working on projects. Students will participate in the Fort Hays Industrial
